Start your visit at Yavapai point for a classic panoramic view into the heart of

Grand Canyon National Park.

In summer take the free shuttle bus that operates on West Rim Drive. Leave the bus at Hopi Point and take the Nature Trail for a walk back to Grand Canyon Village. You can also leave the bus at Hermits Rest for a longer walk. Enjoy the beautiful views at Powell Point and Maricopa Point. As far as the eye can see, the canyon is an open expanse created by the Colorado River and its tributaries downcutting into the uplifting continental plate.

In the evening enjoy sunset at Maricopa Point. The two hours just before sunset can provide the most dramatic light in which to view the canyon.

Start your day with the Sunrise at Sunrise Point. Prepare yourself for a hike of approx. 3 hours.

The Queen's Garden Trail begins at Sunrise Point, go north. Follow the Navajo Loop Trail to the amazing Wall Street.

A scenic drive along the 29 km. (18 mi.) of the main park road afford outstanding views of the park and southern Utah scenery. All overlooks lie east of the road. Drive to the southern end of the park and stop at the overlooks on your return to avoid crossing traffic.

Yovimpa and Rainbow point offer expansive views of southern Utah. The park road ends at Rainbow Point. Visit the view points: Ponderosa Canyon, Agua Canyon, Natural Bridge, Fairview Point, Piracy Point and Swamp Canyon.
