To find game it is relatively easy. On the large
grasslands there are herds of zebra and springboks. You can also
see other animals like this ostrich.
With
a little luck - and we were lucky - you can see lions. The next
picture shows hunting lions. All over the savanna you can feel
the tension. Some zebras were guarding for the herd. Springboks
who stood some hundred meters away were also alert.
There were some tourists, you don't believe it, who went out of the car to make a picture of themselves with on the background the lions. The photographer stood away from the car for more then 10 meters. Accidental a patrouille passed by. They gave those people a talking to. They got in the car as fast as they could and didn't dare to even open the windows afterwards.
This groundsquirrel is a funny small animal that you can
find everywhere in the park.
The next picture is a view over the enormous saltpan.
It's difficult to catch the size of it on a picture. It measures
max. 110 by 60 km.
