Because of our 7th place four weeks ago we dropped in the general
ranking to a fifth place. Sunshine 4 and Maas are just above us, so the
goal of the day was quite clear: finish in front of them.
The first race we had a average start, but the whole fleet was late
because of the strong current. Upwind we could hold on to the bigger
boats, rounding fifth at the top mark. Downwind the strong wind made it
quite a spectacle and we managed to pass Maas and the Sunshine 4. Many
boats had a hard time to keep the boat upside up. We also struggled a
bit, but made no mistakes. On the last downwind leg Daikin attracted the
photo boat away from us by a spectacular crash, but luckily the finish
ship made some spectacular photo's of our downwind reach.

The second race was about the same as the first, and we finished again
well in front of the Maas and Sunshine 4. Although Sunshine beat us in
the first race on rating, we were 2nd overall. This also got us to the
3rd place in the general ranking.
Sadly we can't defend our position because we are in France to compete
in the Spi Ouest regatta during the last IJspegel.
