Jim Bolinger's Grantura - 18072

I am the owner of 18072 (although the tag only says
072) a 1966 1800S Mk. IV. I purchased the car in 1986 in Michigan, USA
where it had sat in a dirt floored garage for a number of years. According
to the records it was imported into the US in 1971 by a returning serviceman
and spend its life on the East Coast of the US. After purchase the former
owner attempted to drive it to Michigan. During the trip he destroyed the
engine.
After I purchased the car in 1986 it underwent a body
off restoration. Almost 70 of tubing had to be replaced in the
frame. I finished the car in 1990 and have been using it on occassion for vintage racing.
I have attached two photos of the car. One at
the TVR Car Club of North American national show at Indianpolis,
Indiana and the second during a vintage racing at Mid-Ohio.
