** November 2014 At the Bleiswijk international dog show in Rijswijk held on November 2nd, Thuja Dixy Rose won her first CAC, CACIB and BEST OF BREED under judge Mr. Ake Cronander from Sweden. Thank you Wil and Joze for the picture! October 2014 During the weekends we have found a new and most exciting way to have fun with our dogs. We let them run free at the beaches. Great for dogs and humans! Ludvig (Thuja Double Take) won the reserve CAC from the intermediate class at the BAHC Specialty with an entry of 48 Afghans under judge Mr. A. Scholz / Germany. He was selected for 'best head in show' and 'best movement in show' and picked as best moving male (not an official award). We are so proud of having had this boy over-here as his looks, type and movement are all we could wish for here at THUJA! Thanks Lars and June for the opportunity! His mother Ch. Thuja Bittersweet Me at the same show, won the champion class and reserve CAC as well. Also she was selected for 'best head in show' and 'best movement in show'. Her daughter Thuja Dixy Rose was 2nd in Intermediate class behind the BIS-winning female! Isabelle pictured by Gwen Wanet (B) At the Sighthound Festival in Donaueschingen Thuja Dixy Rose won a 2nd place on Saturday (Judge Mr. Roberto Forsoni) and a 1st place in Junior class under Mrs. Sharon Sakson / USA on Sunday. Thuja Dress to Impress attended the famous Finnish Afghan Specialty and oh my, what a great job she did over-there. Just 15 months old our Maya went 3rd best female with R-CAC!! She also went junior BEST in SHOW! Safa had an entry of about a 100 Afghans who were judged by the respected Mrs. Lesley Busby (Wilbus knls. UK). Thanks for thinking so highly of Maya! He was single in his class, as his sister Thuja Dixy Rose, who also won JVDH, JCAC, JBOB and later on she went JUNIOR BEST IN SHOW!! The breed was judged by Mr. Jan Coppens from Holland and the BIS by Mr. Miro Zlojutro from Hungary. May 2014 So happy with the results of my little girl Thuja Dixy Rose at LS-Düsseldorf in Issum. Elin won JCAC, JVDH, the title Landesjugendsiegerin Nordrhein-Westfalen and JBOB under Mr. Bernd Münstermann, Germany. Ch. Thuja Candy Kisses won a 1st place in open class and the VDH, 2nd place went to Serra Parecis Kick It. We "tried" to show Ludvig (Thuja Double Take) too :) Fingers crossed for a better performance next time! Thuja Deep River Poem - Kyon What a super weekend for Maya!! - SBIS Thuja Dress to Impress Maya is doing us proud up in Northern Europe! Only fifteen months old winning best female with CAC at a Specialty in Oulu, Finand. The next day at the International show in Oulu Maya wins BEST OF BREED with another CAC!! Elin is being shown sparingly in junior class, but having the time of her life together with her brother at home! Thuja Double Take - owned by Lars and June Christiansen in Denmark currently residing at Thuja! We are grateful to Lars and June for the opportunity to have Ludvig here. Ludvig was shown for the fist time at the Europasieger in Dortmund where he went second in a large junior class. Very proud of this achievement, even more proud of his looks! March 2014 We received super news from Sweden!! Thuja Dress to Impress was shown for the 1st time in junior class and she went Best of Breed, BIS-junor and BEST IN SHOW at the Swedish Sighthound Specialty in Boden. On Saturday 1st February she won her last CAC for this title at the International dog show in Troyes, France. Thuja Candy Kisses collected the Dutch and International championship titles ending the year going Amsterdam Winner '13. With attending only 5 shows in Holland she became nr. 2 female in the ranking! Needless to say we are very much looking forward to continue her show career in 2014! In addition we are very proud of two little power girls, who's presence in the rings in 2014 will hopefully not remain unnoticed. Fenja was as usual handled by mother (Serra Parecis Afghan Hounds) Ch. Thuja Candy Kisses placed 4th out of 5 in the open class just as I thought she would, but sometimes one has got to give it a try anyway. September 2013 At the international dog show Beauvais (France) Ch. Thuja Candy Kisses won the CAC and reserve CACIB. She inherits the CACIB from the best female and this completes Naomi's international championship title! Judge Mr. Ludovic Colas, France. * At the ACN Specialty Show on 31st of August our female Ch. Happenz Busy Being Fabulous won BEST IN SHOW and is now ACN Club Winner 2013. Handled to perfection by my mother to best female, to her Best in Show victory by me. Ch. Thuja Bittersweet Me went back in the show ring after her litter by beautiful Otto. She was single in her class and didn't win anything else. Nevertheless I am so proud of my beautiful girl.... Two of her children made their show debute as well... Thuja Dixy Rose went Puppy Best in Show And Thuja Dream Sky High was Puppy BOS Ch. Serra Parecis If Tomorrow Comes went 2nd in champion class males Beautiful Khan, Serra Parecis Its Just Me won open class males... * At the sighthound Specialty on 10th August in Bjurholm (Sweden) Thuja Dress to Impress won BABY BIS under judge Mr. Dagmar Kenis Pordham. Otto turned just 2 years in April and is Swedish, Danish and Estonian champion. This win finishes her Dutch champion title. Naomi is not 2,5 years old yet. The judge was Mr. Rainer Vuorinen from Finland. His critiqe about Naomi: "Beautiful feminine bitch, lovely head and expression, correct topline and tail, well angulated, moving very well, real silky coat" And in the meantime our website has been updated with new pictures of our lovely babies at 16 days of age! Isabelle and Otto, parents of our upcoming litter. I have always loved Otto's dad Ch. Oshanameh's Is the Pope Catholic. However when we decided to have a look at his son in October 2012, we decided for Otto (Xciting Rattle N'Hum). Otto is a very classic and correct Afghan with timeless beauty, a well-balanced mover and with a stallion-like attitude accompanied by outgoing temperament! We are extremely happy the mating between them was successfull! ** Great news over 2012 ** Our lovely young lady Thuja Candy Kisses ended up as the no. 1 Afghan Hound female 2012 in Holland according to the www.windhondeninfo.n l system. Of course we are really thrilled about this news, considering her mother Ch. Thuja Better Believe It was the no. 1 Afghan Hound female in 2011!
