Vincent Vincent And The Villains + The Noisettes Paradiso, Amsterdam, 27 november 2006
Really late gig, started at 10 PM. Anneke and I felt kinda like outcasts because there were all old people in there :P Most of them left when the band started though.
So Vincent Vincent first. They were really nice, rock 'n rolling like the fifties never ended but with a modern twist, definitely original. Too bad most people didn't really participate. The singer wanted to try some games with the audience like singing along but they wouldn't even clap. At a certain point he even asked them if we spoke English (yes we do - thanks) because nobody said something back, aww.

And then, Noisettes! I'm still unsure whether they have 'The' in front of their name or not so I'll just use a bit of both :P First their amazing roadie did a little pre show while soundchecking the microphones ("Hello my name is (??) and I'm from Australia, I have bla bla") :D
Shinghai (sp?) and her mates were great, she looked amazing (she had a toy car in her hair!) and the crowd seemed to loosen up a bit too. They played quite a lot of new songs and they're just really nice! Don't know what else to say. They even did an encore.

Anneke bought a nice badge after the gig with this pic on it and then we went home, slept at 1:30 and already woke up again at 4:30... oh god.
