After a very long summer reccess, team
Triple P got together for some racing at the Flevo race in Enkhuizen.
The boat was put in the water in Monickendam, for a "hystorical" reason,
but was delivered in time to Enkhuizen for the races on Friday. A new
Benelux M30, Mumma Duck, also jointed the Flevo race, which presented a
nice challange.
The team was complemented by Gijs to
replace Ko, who was absent the first two days. Allthough the light
weather is favourite for our M30, the results weren't that good. Both on
Friday and Saturday we were beaten by the "new kids on the block" of the
Mumma Duck. Allthough some "new kids" very much resembled certain people
of the Delft M30.
On Sunday Gijs took the tactician spot and
Ko returned to do headsail trim. This more familiar setting resulted in
much better boatspeed, tactics and tranquility on board. Resulting in a
nice win over the Mumma Duck and a fourth place overall.
