Message: Hi Alvin, Sorry for my late reply. I'm very busy rebuilding my website again, so it can be viewed in all browsers. I'm glad you found out yourself how to adjust your watchband. You are not the first one asking me how to adjust metal watchbands. Hi Peter, Sorry that I'm so busy. i know that I even have promised to make two new pages, one of karen and one(and last) of Anne. Unfortunately she had the last schoolday today.... I will be alone at home this weekend, which makes it possible for me to rebuild a lot of pages. i calculated that the "Special Series"section has 166 identical pages and with 5-10 minutes a page, I think I can use that time..... Keep your fingers crossed, I hope I have those pages on line soon, Cheers, Sjors

She liked the watch very much and said to me that it is fun to have such a huge watch around her wrists. I think these things are very personal. Due to the facts that hate the IE and prefere Linux anyway, I would like to ask if there is a chance for you to use another HTML-Editor which doesn't make your site only for Internet Explorer. I would like to visit your site regurlary, but I won't use Windows and IE just for this. Beside this, keep up the good work and keep up your enthusiasm!

Now, however, I'm back on line and checked out the status of your life just some moments ago. You seem to be doing well. Lots of rare or different models dropping in all the time. What are you... a millionair? or just a helpless G-Shock addict? Never mind, life's too short and you have to live it to the max or else you go empty. My G-Shock collection is not growing very fast at the moment, but an older model with a red wristband has arrived from Germany. It will be my X-mas present. So far for now, see you also at WatchYouSeek. Cheers, Jur.

Groeten, Jurphaas.

I'm also looking for a Tough Solar G-5600. I think I shall have to get it straight from Japan, or not??? Do you know an adress in Europe? Friendly Greetings, Jurphaas.

Are Casios sold in the US, throw away watches? Shouldn't battery replacement be easier. Thanks for your help. Steve Shoff Montpelier,VT USA

I searched for a model that appeals to me, came across your website soon, checked out your info on sellers, and ordered from Katja in Germany today! Nice pictures of Mirte, you put them really fast on the internet! Some are a bit dark... I'm curious what she is going to say about them! Didn't know that our story reading for Bram would be put on the Internet too, why didn't Mirte and Bram look at the camera at that moment? Would have been very nice, three people and a book on a high bed(where you can throw books of, as Bram knows). I'll stop, my English is probably far from perfect but it is readable, I guess.

Message: Hi Sjors, Your Seiko 5 gives me strong feeling of 80s. HK watch shops rarely keep band stock as they think selling bands is just an additional service that cannot make enought money to pay rent; even Seiko Service Centre does not keep popular band model(to order one means you have to wait 3 months with NO exact price to tell you until the band arrived!). By the way, you may tell me the lug width and I'll try searching one. In addition, one of my supplier is moving to nearby location these days. I told the owner to "train" his new staff by giving him an assignment: To reconcile the stock records with physical stocks and find whether there is 300m Casio on hand(The owner told me he can remember he must has it in the warehouse!). I will tell you the result very soon ;-) Regards, Boris (HK)

Message: Hi, I am originally from Romania, Europe. I now live in Atlanta, USA. I remembered when I was about 10 years old, my uncle in Los Angeles sent me a Casio. It was just a plain Casio. Not a G-Shock. It must have been in the early 80's. I loved it. There was a craze among young people wearing digital watches. Casio was about the only brand I remember. All kids had to have digital watches. I had it for a couple of years, after which my best friend distroyed it. After I came to USA in the early 90's I remember seeing the YELLOW band G-Shock DW-5000 at a supermarket called K-MART. I did not know at the time that particular model will became famous one day. (I saw the yellow band selling on ebay for hundreds of $$$) I did not like it because of the color. If i knew I would have bought a lot and sell it now. Years pass and I fell in love with Seiko then with Citizen. Along with these 2 brands, Casio come up again on the Seiko/Citizen forum. I was able to purchase a brand new DW-5000 from a fellow S/C forum member. I was so happy. I had the ONE, the original. The SOUL of all digital watches. However one day all my watch collection has been stolen, Seiko, Citizen (about $4000) including my original DW-5000. What a sad day. I could never recover. Somehow all my watches had a life of their own, almost like my kids. After few months I was at a local COSTCO and I saw the G-2000 model which at some extent is like the DW-5000. I now have 3, G-2000 model and they are here to stay. I have a ton of G-Shock articles saved on the CD-RW. Tons of pics. I am more than a fan, this G-Shock forum is a great resource for all of us G-Shock people. I read it everyday. Long live the Casio G-Shock. Best Regards, Chris Capra 2004

Message: Hi Sjors: Well, I just opened up and tried on my new black Raysman model that you so dearly like. As soon as I saw it in person and especially after trying it on, I was so glad I followed your advice. This is one super watch. I really like the size since I am used to wearing larger watches, eg. Oris TT1 Diver. The Raysman is soooo... comfortable! The strap just conforms perfectly to ones wrist. The case shape is also very appealing. The sealed nature of this watch will be perfect for 4X4 and dirt bike riding on the weekends. Thanks so much for the recommendation , Sjors :-)!

Message: Hi Sjors: Thanks for your previous answers to my posts on the forum. I had a few questions about your yellow Raysman, if you don't mind :-)! Since this model is very large, is the yellow color overwhelming? Is it a real bright yellow? In general on the Raysman model , is the dial portion larger than the average G or does it just have a larger casing surrounding the standard size case? What would be a fair price , in your opinion , for a yellow model in good condition? How does the the timer function in this model differ from the standard black model?(yacht function??). I really appreciate your time in answering my questions! Have a great day! Dave

My wife and I still enjoy using our watches for outdoors activities. My favorites have to be the early 5x00 series though I have come to appreciate the uses of the post '93 electro luminecence back lighting. My eyes have finally aged, as time does to a body, and I find the reverse lighting dials much more friendly for late nights' darkness, when the eyes have slower re-adjustment after exposure to the dial's bright light! This is a testimony to actually uses. -=Drew

Message: Hi Eric, Thanks for your reaction on my site. I have the Tough Solar Waveceptor with the resin band, but I like the metal version too. It's also available in a European version. I bought the watches with the animations on E-Bay. I found out about the animations ( I guess you mean the G-Game on the big square models) when after I bought them. Have you also seen the animations on the Lovercollection 1999? I first thought that the batteries were almost dead, but when I viewed it in the dark I saw the animation. Most of my G-Shocks I buy world wide at auctions, mainly Ebay. I hope you've got something about my answers, Have a great time in Ohio and enjoy your MTG-900DA-8V. Sjors

I think an old DW-5000 case should be affordable though. Friendly greets, Sjors
