For the last 2000 years, the word theosophy has been used in the western world, meaning divine wisdom or knowledge through experience and study. It comes from the Greek words Theos God and Sophia wisdom. Although the theosophical movement goes back to Blavatsky and her teachers, it is part of the spiritual movement that is as old as man himself. The study of theosophy is not limited by time. The Mayas, Egyptians and Indians all have their stories of the creation, the story of the beginning and end of cycles. Just as reincarnation repeats time and life again. What can we learn from the old traditions of wisdom? What do they mean for us? This lecture makes you think of the profound knowledge of the ancients and the cycles of life and time.
