Anna plays tennis since 1986, and in 1990 she became a pro. In her young years Anna played tennis at the Spartak Atleet Club in Moscow. When Anna was ten years old she was seen as a talent and moved to the Nick Bolettieri Sports Academy in Florida. She won European championships and the ITF Juniorchampionship. Then Anna came into the WTA. She never won a tournament so far. Her best results Anna got in the doubles. With Martina Hingis she won a lot of tournaments and even the Australian Open in 1999. Her best results in the singles are a semi final during Wimbledon in 1997 and the quarter finals during the Australian Open in 2001.
