My name is Ko van Oeveren and I was born 11-15-1942 in
Stavenisse and I am still living in Stavenisse.
From 1957 - 1997 I was employed by the Royal Netherlands Airforce as a civilian
employee at the Woensdrecht Airbase; at the Jet-engine repair facility ( SMW).
Presently this facility is named "Logistic Centre Klu".
This facility was and still is involved in the repair of jet-engines for the
Royal Netherlands Airforce.
Presently the F100 jet-engine of the F16 Falcom Jetfighter.
Since the first of October 1997, I am retired.
Why this Website?
On my Website, with old photographs of Stavenisse, I also
had a page about the flood-disaster of February 1-1953. This was just a short
story as to how I experienced this disaster as a 10 year old boy with some
photographs as well.
The resulting reactions and comments from primary - and high - school students
prompted me to decide for a more detailed story. That's why the new Website.
On this new site I have include topics supplied by KNMI, Meteo Zeeland,
"Waterschap Stavenisse" and from "Rijkswaterstaat".
