productsAudiokit 95 A SE stereo amplifier based on the EL95 beam-penthode.
The amplifier is a tweaked replica of the legendary AG9016. I have rebuild this little amplifier in the last year to my own taste. On the picture left is the original AG9016. Almost all components are placed on a print board, a lot of components are used for the tone controll.

For the tweaking I used the knowledge of some specialists and to be short.. the amplifier ended up with less components (less is more).
The right picture shows the audiokit95 on the rear side. The housing looks filled and that is caused by the small size which has the advantage that the wiring is short which results in less hum and interference from other signals. No printboard is used, wiring is "in the air".
Audiokit 84 A SE stereo tube-amplifier with slightly more power (3,5 Watt) based on the EL85
Eventually I only meant to build the Audiokit95 but by doing some questioning I realized that some people wore afraid to use a tube that was not manufactured anymore. I can assure you that there are still al lot of new and almost new EL95 tubes for sale for a reasonable price (5-10 Euro)

The EL84 tube is still in production and sounds grate too. The schematic of this amplifier does not differ much from the Audiokit95. The output transformer is a multi-impedance type and can be used for a wide range of tubes. The above picture shows the prototype, you can see that I use an old radio frame to have space and many possibilities to change the configuration. I also use old Philips transformers and choke, afterwards I start the search for a reliable source for new items. Changing one item at a time and wait for that item to 'break in' makes it a long lasting exercise.
